Starlink satellite broadband service secures licence to operate in France

Starlink Internet Services, controlled by SpaceX, has been awarded a ten-year licence by French telecom regulator Arcep, which will enable the company to offer high-speed broadband access across the country. The licence, which covers the use of two spectrum bands (10.95-12.70 GHz and 14-14.5 GHz), complements a previous authorisation to set up three ground stations located at Villenave-d’Ornon, Gravelines and Saint-Senier-de-Beuvron, in the French departments of Gironde, Nord and Manche respectively.
